For my initial visit, Dr. Wade met with me for over an hour discussing family history, environmental issues, past doctors and experiences, and all factors that could be affecting my condition. No other psychiatrist in the Baton Rouge area had ever done that for me! He doesn't book patients back-to-back or overlapping, so his office is never full of people waiting. He's on time, and he's very laid-back. I felt very comfortable and also got a sense that he knows what he's talking about. Great Psychiatrist!. I would venture to say that Dr. Wade is probably the most caring and compassionate psychiatrist that I have ever had the pleasure of working with (being a patient of). He not only actually listens to what you have to say, but he also puts forth a sincere effort to really try to hear you and understand what you are feeling. In short ... from my personal experience as a patient of Dr. Wade's, I have discovered that he is an empathetic listener.
