FUN, FUN, FUN!
by youngkimberlyd
Not being a drinker, but being with friends that do. I'm able to have a Strawberry Margarita and enjoy. The staff their attitudes' are always pleasant. And the ribs which are my favorite are soooo good.
- Pros: BEST Food and Drinks
- Cons: Not Enough Parking.
Ninfa's experience; dangerous to your health
by jdesemar
BEWARE!!! We had a group of 12 eating late one night in January '09 in the room to the right of the entrance. After all the other tables had cleared out, one employeee set all the empty tables with new silverware and plates.. Then another employee started spraying disinfectant on those tables without picking up the plates first. We were astounded and asked him does he realize the danger of what he was doing? He responded by laughing at us and claiming "at least they are now clean". He seemed to have no fear that we would tell management. I would never recomend that anyone eat at this establishment who values their health.
- Pros: Unhealthly cleaning overules any pros I may have
- Cons: Unhealthly cleaning
If you are looking for poor quality food and a bad dining experience this is the place to go!
by LSUTigerFan
What once use to be the best Mexican restaurant in Baton Rouge has now become the worst. The quality of the food was terrible and not up to the old standards of TJ Moran's legendary quality and service. Since the remodeling of Ninfa's the noise level has increased to the point that you can't carry on a normal conversation with family, friends, or co=workers. The quality of the food at Ninfa's is far surpassed by the fast food chain restaurant Taco Bell. I do understand that a restaurant can have an off night, but when the Manager finds it humorous that you are having a bad dining experience, and does not want to try to correct the problem then I say it is time to quit eating there. The beans and rice servered with my Fajitas were bland and flavorless. The Fajita meat was processed frozen chicken. What happened to fresh food?
- Pros: None
- Cons: Noisy, Poor Quality of Food, Poor Manager's attitude
Queso Del Mar to Die For
by ben_denham
Best Tex-Mex in town. A tad on the pricey side. The Queso Del Mar shows up as an appetizer but has to be the most delicious thing on the menu. Something to be said about the waiter rolling four cheese/shrimp burritos table side. Pretty people go here and parking can be an issue if you don't time your arrival right.
- Pros: Chips and Salsa, Queso Del Mar
- Cons: Parking
Good service, over priced meals but, large portions
by twnofzach
I enjoyed the Restaurant's mood, dark and cozy and the waiter was prompt...The only negative thing I found was the prices when I opened the menu...a little higher than I imagined, and the food is not authentic, so, unless you are looking for mex-american style food, do not go there...Food is really great though. I went during the week, so did not have to wait...Thursday evenings are an exellent time to go and not have to wait.
- Pros: Good food, great service, good mood setting
- Cons: Not authentic mexican food and items were pricer than expected...Expect a high bill!
Good spot for going out on the weekends
by emilynf1
I've always had to wait each time I've gone to Ninfa's so it's only good to go there if you're not already starving. The food is pretty good, not worth the price to be honest, but still tasty. If you go, you have to try the Ninfaritas! I forget what night they have cheap Ninfaritas but this would be the time to go.
- Pros: Fun place to hang out
- Cons: Long wait, overpriced
Best Mexican in Town
by sophie2000
We go there allot. Great food. I love the ribs and fajitas. We always are taken care of. Big groups sometimes are a problem. Beyond that, they have great drinks just be careful. Those things are potent.
- Pros: Great drinks, Service, and food
- Cons: Parking
Not what it used to be.
by michellesmth
I had the quesadillas. I still think they taste great but they are significantly smaller. When i mentioned it to the waiter he said "maybe i should school the kitchen on how to cut them.' Thanks for being able to solve my problems. The margaritas are average and the service is mediocre at best. Way to go T.J.
- Pros: location, green sauce, monterrey jack cheese
- Cons: service, lack of concern, margaritas
Delicious but you have a long wait...
by drgnldy77
Well, first off they do have great food, but the wait can be unbearable. I NEVER go there on FRI/SAT because that's when everyone else is there (especially when college is in session). Very noisy in there b/c amount of people. Wait staff is ok, but not that great. Slow on drink refills unless the you go at a slow time of day.
- Pros: good food, good margaritas, tasty bean dip
- Cons: very noisy, long line/ wait, slow service
Way Over-rated!!
by kimbercuddles
I guess if you like seafood, it might be better, but we were not impressed with the selection or the price!! After living in San Antonio for ten years, we realize how spoiled we were as far as Mexican Restaurants are concerned!
- Pros: Friendly Service, Good Drinks, College Atmosphere
- Cons: Expensive, Very Noisy, Long Wait
