Let me tell you about it.... I visited Baton Rouge this weekend to meet a friend...wanted to try something new...The Cheesecake Bistro looked packed...always a "thumbs up" for a restaurant...our waitress...named Maria (if possible, ask to be seated on one of her tables) was very informative and extremely polite...and our glasses never stayed empty...the portions were generous, the main entree and the cheesecake were delicious, and I am still not sure of how much the bill was because, quite simply, my experience there was priceless.

Created by renowned Louisiana chef Al Copeland, this restaurant serves up Cajun dishes and cheesecake with a side of flair.. In Short
It isn't just the mellow lighting or gold stars adorning the ceiling that make this restaurant so stylish. The menu also offers modern Cajun creations from drinks to dessert. The bar offers an original recipe known as the Cajuntini, a classic martini splashed with cayenne pepper. Guests also find an array of new entrees to try like the popular barbecued shrimp linguine, grilled shrimp and lemon butter pasta served over a freshly baked bread bowl. After the meal, guests who still have room can choose from a multitude of cheesecakes for dessert, such as the white chocolate raspberry or dulce de leche.

One of my favorite restaurants. It's hard to decide what is best about their menu. They have really interesting drinks that they mix at your table - try the Chocolatini or the Cajuntini. As far as food goes, they make sure you don't go hungry! For an appetizer, the crab and crawfish bake is so good. I've actually gone here before and just had this and some cheesecake! As far as entrees go, their crawfish ravioli can't be beat, and the BBQ shrimp linguine is so good no matter how many times I have it. I wish I could recommend a dessert but they're all so good! My personal favorites are the blueberry cheesecake, and the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake.

Great Drinks & Food. For flavored Martini lovers - try the Cosmopolitan or Appletini. I always request Ketel One or Grey Goose for the smoothest taste. These drinks are great, but do pack a powerful punch. It will start your romantic evening quickly.

Next, this place serves some of the best food I've tasted from a restraurant in a long time. Try the BBQ Shrimp Linguine, Stacked Eggplant Napoleon, or Spicy Chinese Chicken - each one fantastic and very generous portions. I also recommend the Baby Baby Ribs - mouthwatering and cook to perfection.

Please don't leave without trying the cheesecake or at least take home for later. I highly recommend White Chocolate Strawberry. What a way to end your evening.
