Outstanding!

Before returning home to New York City after spending a week in Morganza, Louisiana with my mom, I decided to have my hair done. I searched the internet and found Mo Hair in Baton Rouge. I was impressed. Mo Hair is outstanding. Joan and her team were stellar. I decided to do a Phyto relaxer and my hair has never looked so beautiful. My hair has bounce, body and shine. The services were top notch from start to finish. Joan was patient, extremely knowledgeable and funny. Her consultation made all the difference in my choice today. Phyto is a organic product that doesn't strip the hair and leave you with limp, lifeless hair. Phyto gave me the straightening I desired without stripping my hair. From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out I felt appreciated and catered to. I was treated like a friend rather than an out of towner. Marley, Tank and Buffy were amazing. They saw to my every need and question. I live in Brooklyn, New York and have been to some of the most talked about and celebrated salons in Manhattan. I can say that Mo Hair is on par with any 5th Avenue salon. The service, quality of products and attention to detail are excellent. I will definitely trust Joan at Mo Hair to do my hair whenever I am in Louisiana. I am looking forward to my next visit in a few weeks. Mo Hair is setting the standard for service, style and great hair care in Baton Rouge. I highly recommend a visit to this salon. You will leave happy and satisfied.
- Pros: Professional, Informative and Relaxing
- Cons: none
Dissapointment

I was highly dissapointed. I recently moved back to Baton Rouge and I wear my hair in a short/Rhianna-type style. Since my hair is short, there is a smaller margin of error. I'd heard good things about Mo Hair but was dissapointed by the 2 hr wait for a wash and trim. My hair was styled nicely but the products dried my hair out and my trim had unintentional uneven parts and a weird longer piece in the back. But it was styled nicely, so if you're looking for a cute style for a special occassion, go for it. If you're looking for a cute cut that you can maintain for a couple of weeks until the next visit, move on. I give it a poor rating because you can go to a beauty college and get a good style; precision cuts and quality hair care are harder to come by.
- Pros: cute style
- Cons: bad uneven cut

Joan is very professional in her business relationships. I can only imagine this transcends to her clientele. I have watched clients come with difficult problems and always leave with a SMILE. She is always willing to share her knowledge and open to new ideas. She is wonderful to work with and I always look forward to our power marketing conversations. Thanks Joan!!
