Final rating after trying this place twice!. This place is terrible especially when the owner is not there. Firstly, there's a lot of confusion within the salon. The first time I went to get my hair done there, I was quoted a price for my style on the phone and when I got to the salon they gave me another price. The first time I went to the salon was a lot better than the 2nd time because the owner came into the premises when I was about half way done and everyone was suddenly very professional. Prior to her coming in, the stylists were gossiping about a lot of different people and that's just a put off for a paying customer. My hairstyle was very basic that first time but not all that great. I decided to give them one more chance and go in a second time mainly because I live about 2 minutes away. And also because I made a very last minute appointment. The same guy Corey did my hair even though I had specifically asked for a different stylist since I did not like his work the last time I had come in. The owner was out of town and as a result there was all sorts of things going on in that salon. From gossiping, to picking on a young client who had just had a baby, and no one was answering the phones because they were understaffed. My hair style was terrible and the stylist ended up ruining my very expensive lace front wig. So people, save yourself a trip and don't bother going to Mo Hair Salon unless you're used to unprofessional hair salons and mediocre hair styles.

i am so whiping my hair. i hap the excellent experience at mo hair. my stylist cory did my hair so good. i jus have to whip it. he provided me with great service and hot tea. i cant wait for more so im going to jus get to the point.

my excellent experience. i want to take the time out to give thnxxx to joan and her wonderful staff they were all so super nice to me they ask me did i want water coffee are tea i such a wonderful time she introduce me to her staff and told me what all services each one specialize in i was there for my hair extension it was the best experience ever my stylist which was name cory had the most wonderful smile and treated me with much respect and gave me the most awesome shampoo i had ever had he explained everything tht he was using in my hair and why he was using the products then when my shampoo journey was done he escorted me to the station and prep me for the next part of my service and i was placed under the dryer he made sure i was comfortable he place the legrest under my feet and offer me some hot tea drink when i was done i was escourted to the stylist station then my braids where installed and was prepared for my extension service it was the best service ever if u looking for someone who can sew in your extension then u need to be @ mo hair salon and ask for cory whom was welled skilled and trained thnxxxxx you joan for introducing cory into my life

ROCKIN' MY LOOK!!!. I am not going by what others say...this is MY MO HAIR EXPERIENCE! The Joan is The Color Master! I rock my hair blonde, long, short weaved and without!!! The Joan HAS THE EXPERIENCE, knows me and knows what I LIKE, and that is what makes MO HAIR STAND OUT above the rest! bad bad service and discusting salon etiquettes. I had service done twice .first time was with Ms Joan the whole time she talked to a client next to me or a she might have been an employee getting her hair done ,Ms Joan gossiped with her and walked around with out her shoes doing my hair then stopping ,it took me a hour she to get a simple hair cut because of her stopping and gossiping about other employees .shame on You .on top of it all the cut was a disaster .paid 50 dollars for it .then second time thought id give her another chance went in yesterday .ppl at desk were rude .showed my hairstylist the exact hair cut a razor cut on my weave .the whole time ,Ms Joan gossiped on phone a few feet from the station I was at with her nasty feet on table .very unprofessional .the salonist that was cutting my hair was cutting hair and at same time watching soap opera on tv ,I ended up with a hair cut that was choppy and uneven there goes a weave that cost me alot of money while im getting hair cut people were sitting down and eatting greasy food ,then touching their clients hair ,They asked my husband if he like it he said kind of but not really its not what she wanted it was an easy hair cut a 5 year old could do it ,then charged us 50 dollars. I had to go home and correct my hair myself .....Never again ,will I give this salon my money over priced under qualified and in professional .discusting and disappointed the health inspector needs to make a visit thats for sure

Excellent Customer Service. Mo Hair is salon where I experience excellent hair care. The Joan & her staff are proficient & accomplished in hair care. With each visit I leave with nothing but applauds for The Joan & her wonderful staff. I am always extremely pleased with the services that was specially customized to meet my hair needs.

The Joan is an awesome stylist & gifted business woman. Her personality is infectious. Her expertise is in hair care. Her clients are assured that their hair & facial needs are being met by a competent stylist . My hair is proof of this fantastic hair care service.

Heavenly Experience. "The Joan" brings so much to the table and passes on to new talent.

I'll begin with the Shampoo Experience. I have NOT experienced a shampoo like this since my childhood stylist passed. "The Journey" is just that a journey that you must experience for yourself. So RUN THERE STAT!

And the PhytoRelaxer is amazing. It feels like you are simply getting a hot oil treatment. No harsh burning sensations. And the steam treatment with the conditioner. Have I mentioned HEAVENLY yet.

You will NOT be disappointed. Just be prepared to fall asleep the ambiance is that relaxing.

Hair Extension (Sewn In). My experience at Mo Hair Salon has been the best ever! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the products used there. The customer service is awesome! This is the most professional salon I have ever been in Baton Rouge, La. Joan hooked a sister up and I have been smiling ever since!....

Outstanding!. Before returning home to New York City after spending a week in Morganza, Louisiana with my mom, I decided to have my hair done. I searched the internet and found Mo Hair in Baton Rouge. I was impressed. Mo Hair is outstanding. Joan and her team were stellar. I decided to do a Phyto relaxer and my hair has never looked so beautiful. My hair has bounce, body and shine. The services were top notch from start to finish. Joan was patient, extremely knowledgeable and funny. Her consultation made all the difference in my choice today. Phyto is a organic product that doesn't strip the hair and leave you with limp, lifeless hair. Phyto gave me the straightening I desired without stripping my hair. From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out I felt appreciated and catered to. I was treated like a friend rather than an out of towner. Marley, Tank and Buffy were amazing. They saw to my every need and question. I live in Brooklyn, New York and have been to some of the most talked about and celebrated salons in Manhattan. I can say that Mo Hair is on par with any 5th Avenue salon. The service, quality of products and attention to detail are excellent.
