Great Gumbo and Seafood baskets and poboys. I have eaten at Dempseys since they opened the first restaurant (since closed and moved on to coursey) on millerville. His seafood gumbo is one of the best in town and is a meal in itself. His seafood baskets and poboys are fresh. He uses fresh cut french fries. Everytime I eat there I always see some of the same people. Repeat business like that is a ticket to success and this small establishment is successful. The food is outstanding and a good value for the dollar

FANTASTIC SEAFOOD - GREAT PRICES. Dempseys Poboys is a fantastic little seafood restaurant on the east side of Baton Rouge. They are carrying on the tradition of the neighborhood restaurant the little hole-in-the-wall that serves the very best food. All the locals will frequent this place, and for the very best of reasons they serve great food! Service is prompt and friendly. This is the place to go when you want a great meal and very reasonable prices. Fridays Catfish special with shrimp and crab sauce is mouth watering; their seafood gumbo is great and one can truly make a meal of it alone. Poboys are on the large size and are packed with the good stuff! Youll see a lot of police and firemen eating here know a good deal when they see it! Varied menu, good service, fair prices!
