Both the clothing and the shopping experience at Talbots are simple, unfussy and classy. Ignoring fashion's whims, the store sticks to classics like glen plaids, houndstooth checks and cable knits. It's the place to find single-breasted blazers or sensible pumps, all in a dozen different colors. True prepsters build entire wardrobes here, but even ardent fashionistas stop in for a few high-quality, moderately priced, nice-fitting basics. Check out the end-of-season sales for big savings.

Standard classy clothes. Talbots has a nice selection of classic work and dressy occaision clothing. The items are not very unique, and you will never be accused of being a fashionista wearing something from Talbots. But you will be accused of having classic ladylike style.

Nice Store. It's great having a good clothing store in the area. They have a petite section and a regular section. The store is airy and easy to try clothes on in. You don't feel pressured to buy at all. They ask you if you want to put your clothes in a fitting room and, if so, try them on! There is also a red phone in there in case you want something in a size they don't have you can talk directly to the BIG TALBOTS <where ever that is>. These are not cheap clothes. These are Country Club clothes.
