First time visit we brought our son to get a haircut, and we left shaking our heads after hearing all the stylist's family drama, including tears. Wow. Then I received a gift certificate and used it for a pedicure. Worst pedicure I've ever received - was little more than a polish change. And...the polish came off in less than a week! During that service had to hear how she was the best friend of the owner, blahblahblah. Oh, and instead of working to get future business from me (and my family), I got an attitude when I used the gift certificate at checkout. Hello, money bought the gift certificate - you didn't lose anything or give anything away. That is, except for bad service. Didn't like the atmosphere, stylists, services - terrible. Threw the other gift certificate away. Just wasn't worth it.

Very nice atmosphere. I currently had an appointment with Carla and she understood exactly what I wanted and did an awesome job completing it! She is also excellent at styles, if you are ever out and about and need you hair styled for an event/dinner!

Fantastic Salon...Mimi is an amazing Stylist!. For many years I have coordinated trips to Baton Rouge with Mimi's schedule as she is a fantastically gifted Stylist. I love the way she does my color...highlights and lowlights, and the cut is always perfect. I have lived away from Baton Rouge for YEARS, and still use Mimi any chance I get. I cannot recommend her more...she is the best!

Worth traveling for!. Patrick is WONDERFUL. Very professional. Does a great job with both the cut and the color. I had forgotten what it means to have GREAT color that lasts and a FABULOUS cut that holds its shape as it grows out. Now i happily travel from northwest Louisiana to Baton Rouge every six weeks for Patrick to work his magic on my baby fine hair. It's always great to see all the friendly, fun folks at Via Veneto!

new orleans or baton rouge. loved the salon and both of my stylist. the cut and color couple that did my hair were hard to take serious but did great work. i'm upset though bk i heard they were leaving this salon and i don't know if i'll be able to find the time to drive all the way to new orleans to get my hair done... can anyone suggest stylists at via veneto to see bk i DO love the salon!

Great colorist and stylists. I have lived in Baton Rouge for 6 years and have been to several salons but have not been satisfied with either my haircut or color. UNTIL

I went to Via Veneto.

I found Ken and Janie LaPrairie from a Google search for "best hair colorist in Baton Rouge."

On my first visit, they both took their time with me during the initial consultation and their interest in my thoughts and opinions seemed sincere.

Janie cuts my hair and Ken does my color.

They are head and shoulder, no pun intended, above the other stylists I have been to in the Baton Rouge area.

Janie is incredibly skilled in cutting hair. I have short hair which you would think wouldn't take a long time to cut. But she takes her time and does a thorough job. She cuts my hair wet, dries it and then goes back in to fine tune the cut.

Ken has an artist eye when it comes to color and isn't afraid to try new things. After coloring my hair, he took me outside to look at the final result in the natural light. This makes complete sense to me. But I have never had a colorist do this before.

I have complete confidence in their ability to do what I want color and cut wise with my hair. I tend to be a perfectionist and it takes a lot to satisfy me but they have succeeded.

They are both great people which makes the experience that much more pleasant.

I highly recommend them to men and women of all ages.

Great full service salon. All the stylists are great. I have my usual stylist, but they always fit me in with someone else when I forget to schedule ahead and need a last minute cut. They're attentive, listen to what you want, and give you feedback on what your hair can actually do. I tried other salons in South Baton Rouge when traffic got really bad, but I had to go back when I couldn't get a decent cut anywhere else. Manicures and basic bikini waxes were also very good.
