BR's Best Gay Happy Hour Bar. Hound Dogs is best on Mondays and Tuesdays. Johnnie creates a very mellow, relaxing atmosphere where you can have conversations with new and old friends or watch the news or enjoy the jazz music (Tuesdays,

usually).

The vibe here is typically neighborhood-oriented and relaxed, unlike the Grand Dame of BR Gay Bars--the ever-pretentious George's. The bar could use some sprucing up to get rid of the George's hand-me-downs, but it's absolutely the best place for a gay person (man or woman) to get a drink after work.
