Best Sushi in town.
Ichiban is one of the bestJjapanese restaurants in the state. They have the freshest fish in town, hands down. And the best prices. The Ichiban Roll is a must. And don't forget about the Seafood Fried Rice. To die for! :p
Great atmosphere and location.
Can't wait for the new restaurant to be built. We've been looking forward to it.

The food and the service is excellent..
The food, service, and entertainment is excellent. It is such a busy place, but you never feel ignored. Even the cooks are friendly. It is such a pleasure to meet my daughter and grandchildren there, because even the grandkiddos are entertained the whole time they are there -- ages: 9 and 11. It's such a superior restaurant to go to -- often!!

Awesome show as they dazzle your palate!.
Oh my... the sights, smells, sounds and tastes are out of this world...my children really enjoy their chefs, who do the best version of fried rice that I've ever tasted. Our family is addicted just like the rest of the Greater Baton Rouge area! One suggestion: call to reserve and/or get there early!

Best sushi in town.
Ichiban has delicious sushi (best crunchy roll I've ever had!). For those who don't like sushi, they have lots of other good Japanese dishes as well. The atmosphere is perfect for a date or for a night out with friends. I've been here many times and never had a problem with food, staff, or price

The first time I went to Ichiban I was amazed. The atmosphere is incredible!! Perfect for dates, going out in groups or even to bring the family. The staff is very friendlyand the food is outstanding. There is a waitress there that I absolutely love!!! She's super friendly while attending you, but while you may be in deep conversation with someone else she'll squeeze right in there and get you your refill or bring out you extra salad dressing or whatever and you'll never even see her!! I love this place and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys sushi and other Japanese cuisine.
Oh, fyi, if you have someone in your family or your group that does not like sushi, they also have great steak, so don't let that keep you from going!
Hope you enjoy as much as I do!

The Best Japanese Resturant In Baton Rouge.....
I 've patronized Kamados, it was OK (both locations)! I patronize Koto of Japan , the servers are horrible. At the grill the chef dropped his spatuala one time picked it up and kept cooking. Ichiban is GREAT!!!!! We go there every week. The service, the atmosphere and one chef in particular "Dan" is great. Sushi I am not a sushi eater but my mate as well as other say it is the best. The owner and his son walk around and mingle with everyone to assure the best quality time while you are there. Also we drive an hour every week to go there.

Excellent.
Ichiban is the best Japanese restaurant in Baton Rouge by far. Best rolls!!! A person who has never tried sushi or is afraid of it should experience their first time here.
A Little pricey, but worth it.
