food poisoning Valentines 2010.
Went there for lunch with the wife's insistance... she had some type of pasta with crawfish. within 30 minutes she was heaving everything up. Deathly ill for the next 36 hours... never again!

I was ultimately surprised.
Ultimate it is not. My Wife and I went to Sicily's after the remodeling and were sorry we went.
The propaganda is that there is more choices but we couldn't find it. The Buffet was smaller and the grill has been removed.
It is a bit overpriced for the selections.

Great food at a great family-friendly price.
Sicilys is a great place to bring the family out to eat. There is a wide variety of food, so everybody in the family will find just what they're craving. The price is also unbeatable.

Rude Management.
My husband and I visited Sicilys for lunch on 12/5/08. At the dessert bar I got the "Brownie Cake" in which I found a long black hair. Since I'm a strawberry blonde I knew it wasn't my hair. When I handed my plate to the manager and told him about the hair his response was " Ok, thank you." He proceeded to walk off to the kitchen with the plate. No apology. Nothing. He just walked away. There was no intention of asking for a refund. Just a simple "I'm sorry this happened" would have been sufficient. His rudeness is a definite sign of bad management. Also, they advertise on their billboard outside the restaurant one price but when you go in the price is higher. I don't think we will be making a return trip.

Sloppy Service, Tasteless Cooking, and Apathetic Management.
I'm seriously wondering how much longer this will continue...
Sicily's started strong here in Baton Rouge and has only gone downhill since. The waitstaff is completely BORED with their job and the food is getting worse and worse. I worked for a pizza place for a number of years so I know, it's pretty hard to make pizza taste BLAND, but that's exactly what Sicily's pizza is. It's bland and greasy at the same time.
I'm starting to think they don't even make the pizzas here; perhaps they are shipped in premade & frozen?? And if you ever bother to mention your dissatisfaction to the management, don't expect a decent response or compensation. I spoke to the head manager and he couldn't care less, much less offer me an apology. I'm sorry, but I don't think the price fits the fare.
We will NOT be back anytime soon!

Bad Management and Upper Management.
Everytime I walk into that place, the floors are extremely slippery. After my niece fell near the dessert buffet, we tried to take it up with the manager. Rather than apologizing, he apparently had witnesses to back him up that they were not at fault. A simply apology would've been sufficient rather than treating us like we were out to get something for free. Upon calling the District Supervisor, that was about where it ended. None of my messages or calls were returned. Hey parents, KIDS eat free on TUESDAY! Bring every child you know to take advantage of this deal. I hope you do not have any incidents, but if you do, go further than the district manager if you expect an apology. And watch out for the slippery, dirty tile.
