Average. dont come in hungry b/c u will wait a long time for even ur starter. the server is def new since we were rushed out..will not come back to this location for sure.

Small value. I love Italian food. My girlfriends and I love to go to Deangelos. The last few times we went the calzones have gotten smaller and smaller. The sensation salad my friend got was so small it was embarrassing. I am finding that the other Italian restaurants are giving a better quality and value. I won't be back for awhile.

Open in 1991, this casual Italian eatery boasts gourmet recipes that won't break the bank. They offer either large tables complete with paper tablecloths (and crayons) for the kids or secluded candlelit booths for couples. The menu includes over 24 calzones and 11 pizzas, ranging from classic four-cheese pizza to the Lucca calzone, a classic bread wrap stuffed with grilled chicken, feta cheese, roasted garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. For something richer, there is a long list of pastas, including original recipes like seafood canneloni, a creamy recipe calling for pasta shells stuffed with Gulf shrimp and Asiago cheese, then smothered in a baked brandy-cream sauce.

Best pizza around!. Deangelo's is one of the best pizza and Italian restaurants I have ever been to. The pizza has an excellent NY-style crust, not too thick or thin, with wonderful olive oil flavor and delicious sauce. You can top it with an extensive list of toppings, including some more exotic items like fresh basil, roasted garlic, feta, sun-dried tomatoes, etc. But not only are their pizzas great, their Italian specialties are fantastic, too! From the spaghetti & meatballs (with garlicky, spicy meatballs and loads of tomato sauce) to the home-baked lasagna (with Bolognese sauce and swimming in Marinara), to the Asiago chicken Ceasar salad (huge!), you can't go wrong. Wonderful, romantic atmosphere (when kids aren't present!), and attentive service, this makes for a great dining experience.

Best Restuarant in BR. Deangelo's Pizzeria Co. has four family owned locations in Baton Rouge, but the Coursey Blvd. location stands out by far. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic dinner or for large groups. For the best Italian: pizzas, calzones, pastas, and the best salads; Deangelo's Pizzeria Co. reins supreme.
